I Am Always Near

The Lord is saying: I Am here, and I Am with you. Each day you have a choice, either to seek Me or to seek something that gratifies your flesh.  When you seek to gratify your flesh, a chasm breaks out between us and if it is not corrected then you get to a point where you cannot hear Me at all.  When you cannot hear Me, then you can go astray at every point of your day.  This is the danger of neglecting your time with Me each morning, that your day be influenced at the outset by My Spirit.  Now, there are those who have neglected their time with Me because of distractions for a season, and I use these to place a desire to know Me again so that you do not drift too far from Me.  But some of you have moved far from Me, even though I know you and you know Me, and this is most discerning, because like the prodigal son, you think you are on the right track, and yet you feel an emptiness in your heart because of neglect.  My love, this is My calling you back to Me.  There are seasons when a devout child of mine may have moments of doubt and neglect their time with Me, but this only places within their hearts a deeper desire to get back in right standing with Me, and then their faith is increased, and they are then back where I desire.  The ebbs and flows of the spiritual lives of My people are real, but as long as you recognize these early on, you can keep the slide from carrying you too far from Me.  So daily reevaluate where you are in Me so that you are not carried away from Me in your flesh.  I Am always near to you.

Acts 17:24-34 (ESV) The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, 25  nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. 26  And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27  that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, 28  for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’ 29  Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man. 30  The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, 31  because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.” 32  Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked. But others said, “We will hear you again about this.” 33  So Paul went out from their midst. 34  But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.
