Psalm 46
The Lord woke me earlier than I wanted, and I heard “Psalm 46”. Upon reading this, my Spirit was stirred. Verses 1-3 reaffirm that Almighty God is our refuge and strength and is an ever-present help in trouble, and this seems to be pointing to the times we are now living. Verses 2-3 says that we will not be fearful when we see the mountains fall into the sea and the waters roar and the mountains quake. The Lord is with us, and this reminds me of Psalm 23:4 which reads “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” In the coming days, as the Birth Pains before the Tribulation intensify, these words will bring much peace to our souls. Verses 4-7 speak of the City of God and the River of Life that flows from the Throne of God. Since God dwells there, she will not fall and He will always help her at the break of day. ...
